I recently purchased a collection of a couple dozen of these small pennant banners at an estate sale. The informational card stated that they were from the 1950s to 1970s time frame.
This listing is for the Bangkok Thailand pennant that you see in my photo. It is made of a lightweight tweed cloth material. Vertically on the left side it measures 6.25 inches long. Horizontally, from the far left corners to the pointed tip on the right it measures 15 inches. There are no ribbons or slots to hang it by, so it would have to be either framed, or tacked.
CONDITION:
There is stitching all around. In several places I see a loose thread, but I don't see any broken stitches. The coloring is still very strong and vibrant. On the left side by the letter N in Bangkok, you can see where a spot of material rubbed off. This area is about 1/4 inch in size and can be seen in my photo. Also, it will need to be pressed.
Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Parcel from Nevada. To mail it, I will probably just lay the pointed end over lightly and use a padded envelope. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $5.75.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the increases when possible.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items will safely fit into a single box or envelope. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
