Boyds Bears are adorable resin figurines, each with it’s own personality and cuteness. The bears were produced from the
early 1980s until they went into permanent hibernation in 2014. Since they are no longer being made, they gain value year after year.
This figurine is titled ‘The Collector’ and is style #227707. It is dated 1998. The story, printed on the bottom, says “Have a place for everything and keep the thing somewhere else, this is not advise, it is merely custom.”. That statement is attributed to Mark Twain. There is other info printed on the bottom also.
This figurine carries the limited edition the number 3E/412.
The figurine depicts a bear holding a teddy bear and inspecting it. It measures approx. 3 inches side to side, 3 inches front to back, and 4.5 tall.
It is in excellent condition. I see no chips, cracks, or other problems. However, there is no original box.
I recently purchased a large collection of about 100 Boyds Bears from an estate sale. I will be listing them all as time allows. If you are a collector and are looking for a particular bear, feel free to ask if I have it. Just send me the style number and I’ll check for availability.

A PERSONAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING COSTS ….
The shipping charges are set by the U.S. Postal Service.
Here’s the reason for the high charges….. Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become more profitable.
On top of the three increases, the postal service has now divided the nation in to 8 postal zones. Each time a package crosses into another zone, the price increases. I am in Arizona, so most all of my shipments pass through multiple zones.
It's a 10 year plan that the postal service started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases of shipping charges each year. I fear seeing what the costs will be at the end of the plan. …..
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box or envelope. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
