Boyds Bears are adorable resin figurines, each with it’s own personality and cuteness. The bears were produced from the
early 1980s until they went into permanent hibernation in 2014. Since they are no longer being made, they gain value year after year.
This figurine is titled ‘Purrscilla G. Pussenboots with Darby and Jasper’ and is style #2865. It is dated 1998, and was retired in 2000. The story, printed on the bottom, says “We are shaped and fashioned by what we love”. That statement is attributed to Goethe. There is other info printed on the bottom also.
This figurine carries the limited edition the number 5E/440.
The figurine depicts a bear with a ball of knitting thread and two cubs at the bottom holding the skein. It measures approx 2.25 inches side to side, 2.75 inches front to back, 7 inches tall.
It is in excellent condition. I see no chips, cracks, or other problems. However, there is no original box.
I recently purchased a large collection of about 100 Boyds Bears from an estate sale. I will be listing them all as time allows. If you are a collector and are looking for a particular bear, feel free to ask if I have it. Just send me the style number and I’ll check for availability.
