Boyds Bears are adorable resin figurines, each with it’s own personality and cuteness. The bears were produced from the
early 1980s until they went into permanent hibernation in 2014. Since they are no longer being made, they gain value year after year.
The complete name on this figurine is “Mama Purrsmore and Baby Belle with Rinky, Dinky, and Dew….. Once Upon A Time”, and is style #371053. It is dated 1999. The story, printed on the bottom says “There was a place in childhood that I remember well, and there was a voice of sweetest tone bright fairy tales did tell; And gentle words and fond embrace were given with joy to me when I was in that happy place, upon my mother’s knee” That statement is attributed to Samuel Loyer.

This figurine carries the unique limited edition the number 5E/2138.
The figurine depicts a bear reading a book to her four babies. It measures approx. 4 inches side to side, 2.5 inches front to back, and 3.5 tall.
It is in excellent condition. I see no chips, cracks, or other problems. However, there is no original box.
I recently purchased a large collection of about 100 Boyds Bears from an estate sale. I will be listing them all as time allows. If you are a collector and are looking for a particular bear, feel free to ask if I have it. Just send me the style number and I’ll check for availability.
