I found this necklace with it’s awesome pendant at an estate sale recently. First thought I had was ‘Hippie’. It looks just like what we used to wear in the 60s and 70s.
The quartz stone is flat and polished. It has a brownish color with a tint of gray. The stone is about 2.25 inches long by one inch across. The neck of the pendant measures 5.25 inches long including the stone. The neck is silver in color but most of it is covered with a black wrapping. I do not know what the wrapping is made of. The double “chain” is made of cords, one gray and one black. Clasped, the necklace is 19.25 inches from clasp to bottom of the stone.
Regarding the stone, I know it’s quartz but do not know the type of quartz. I spent a couple of hours looking at pictures to try to determine the type, but there are so many different types of quartz that I don’t want to guess.
