This framed postcard features Jiminy Cricket, one of Walt Disney's animated characters from the movie Pinocchio. The postcard measures 5 by 7 inches and was never postally used. Although not dated, this post card is from 1979. It will come in a light blue frame with a glass cover.
The picture on the front shows an excited Jiminy looking through the candy store window. He sees peppermint sticks, M&Ms, hard candy, and a tray of chocolates. Behind Jiminy are various stores and a horse walking down the street pulling some type of cart, wagon, or carriage.
The back of the post card reads:
"EXTRAORDINARY CONFECTIONERY. Jiminy Cricket finds that even the littlest guy can have a giant appetite for the tasty sweets offered in the candy shop on Main Street, U.S.A."
Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail from Nevada. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $5.95.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year.
