I recently obtained this ring at an estate sale. The info card that was with it said “925 Sterling Silver Orange Jasper Women’s Ring, Sz 7.5”.
Comparing pictures online, I believe it is Orange Jasper. The stone is of course orange in color and it has bluish and greenish iridescent small speckles. The underside is marked “Sterling”. As to the age, I did ask the sellers if they knew and they said that most all of the jewelry at the sale was stated to them to be 1970s to 1980s time frame.
I’m not a gemologist or a jeweler so I have no expert knowledge of gemstones. I do however try to do extensive research online to verify stones and properties. I’m fairly confident in my opinion on the material in this item.
