Beautiful design of a lady’s face using various colors of an Abalone shell. She appears to be wearing a scarf over her head (which may actually be a hat). She also has a gold earring. The pin measures just under one inch side to side, by just under 1.25 inches top to bottom.
I purchased it at an estate sale where the seller said it was her mothers. The seller did not know the age but said her mother bought it in Hawaii and that she knows for sure that the mother had not been to Hawaii in over 20 years, so it’s over 20 years old. The seller also said that her mother always told her that the gold colored earring that the lady on the pin is wearing is real gold. I have no way of testing to see if the earring is real, so I’m not considering that possibility in the price I’m asking.
The pin is unsigned. It has a roll over type of clasp.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the increases when possible.
