I believe this little pill box is made of hard cardstock and decorated with gold color paper mache. The top features a pink rose in the center and another pick rose in the upper right corner (as it sits in my photo). At one time there may have been pink roses on each corner, but if so, they are long gone.
You'll also notice in my photo that there are some small bare spots, mainly in the corners. I would imagine that's due to age. If I were going to keep it, I'd dab it with a spot of gold colored model paint. The bare spots are not at all as big as they appear in my photo, but my camera makes everything appear much larger than in real life.
I purchased it at an estate sale and the seller stated it to be from the 1950s. There are numerous uses for a little box like this. The seller that I purchased it from said that it belonged to her mom and after both her parents passed she used this box to keep their wedding rings in for display in a cabinet.
The box measures 1 by 1.25 inches and stands 1 inch tall. There are no dents, breakage, or tears.
As for the material that I stated (paper mache), I'm guessing on that, but researching this online I see a couple of very similar little pill boxes that are made of paper mache, so I'm going with that.
Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Parcel from Nevada. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $6.45.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items will safely fit into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable. It's a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases on shipping charges each year. I try to absorb the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year unfortunately, I have to if I want to stay in business. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the increases when possible.
