This is one of many necklaces purchased at a higher end jewelry estate sale. The disk pendant, as well as the green beads are Jadeite Jade. The material on the clear and the black beads are unknown. I tested the pendant and the green beads using a Presidium Gem Tester and verified that they are Jadeite Jade.
The disk pendant measures roughly 1.5 by 1.75 inches. It is just over 1/8th inch thick. Both the front and back have some type of etching, but I don't know what it signifies. The beads are about 1/2 inch round. The jade beads are knotted between each one. The clasp is the push/pull type. The clasp is gold in color but is marked 925 and 54VI. I did the magnet test on the clasp and although the magnet didn't stick, it did produce a slight pull, so I'm guessing that it is not solid 925 but is probably just coated.
Unclasped and lying flat, the necklace measures 24.5 inches including the clasp.
As stated, I purchased it at an estate sale. Unfortunately there was no one to ask about the age or amount of usage. If I had to guess, I'd say it looks to possibly be from the 1960s.
Buyer to pay $7.95 delivery charges. Shipping will be from Nevada via the US Postal Service. The package will be insured and will require a signature for delivery. Since those safeguards are for the protection of us both, I split the costs with the buyer.
NOTE - I gladly combine items for discounted shipping as long as all items are paid for at one time and as long as all items can safely fit in to a single box. If purchasing multiple items it's best to contact me first so that I can adjust the shipping price. Otherwise, you'll be charged the full delivery cost for each item. If it's inconvenient to contact me, and you get charged the full rate for each item, I can issue a refund, but why pay all that up front, just to be re-imbursed.
With this year's postal increase, all shipping charges increased and international shipping took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
