This fabulous cocktail ring came from a collection of over 400 pieces of high quality costume jewelry that I recently purchased at an estate sale. I did see the original paperwork where it was purchased from QVC for $89. I failed to make note of the purchase date.
The top and about half way down each side is loaded with round CZ stones. It is stamped inside 18K HGE. HGE stands for Heavy Gold Electroplate. According to the online dictionary, HGE is normally 925 silver inside with a thick coating of 18K.
Size: Using a set of calipers and then comparing the size against a template, Im fairly confident that it is a size 8 ring. I'm not 100% positive, but I believe that's right.
CONDITION: The stones put out a blazing shine. All stones are present and I see no chips or cracks. Only by using a jewelers loop to check the stones, I can see where on the top, a very small area in the lower part of the gold has worn thin and a little silver is showing. The ring is about 30 plus years old, so I would think that is normal wear. I don't know if you can see the area in my main photo because its right where the reflection was picked up. Also, there are faint scratches, nothing bad, just the kind jewelry gets from clanking against other pieces in a jewelry box.

SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their “Delivering for America” plan in which they hope to become profitable. It’s a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we’ve got years to go with multiple price increases each year. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the changes when possible.
