German Military Garrison Cap, 1967, Cold War era, Rondell Patch

I obtained this cap at an estate sale and was told by the seller that it was her fathers. She said he was in the military in Germany and I believe (but can't remember for sure) that she said he was in the Air Force.

There is a tag inside, but its written in German. I dont speak German so can't tell you what it says, but you can see the tag in one of my photos. I can make out that it says the year of 1967.

I was able to find a website that tells the history of the German Garrison Caps. It states that the caps of the time frame of this one (1967) were worn throughout the Cold War era (1947-1991). Today, the unified German military has moved away from the garrison cap, like many modern militaries, and has adopted the beret as a replacement.

The cap measures 11 inches long and 4.75 inches high. It appears to be in great condition. I see no moth holes and there are no tears in the wool material.
