This pin is very unusual, yet fascinating. The upper portion has Abalone as the centerpiece. The Abalone measures 5/8ths by 3/8ths of an inch. Surrounding the Abalone is an area about 1/4 inch of silver colored metal. Hanging from the center piece, is a 5/8ths inch long faux pearl. Also hanging from the sides of the centerpiece are two small chains. The overall length of the pin is 2-1/2 inches.
There are no markings as to who the maker is. I obtained the pin at an estate sale, so do not know the age.
