This U.S. Marine Corps Raiders insignia pin was part of a large lot of over 700 military DUI DI insignia pins purchased at an estate sale. The estate belonged to an avid collector of military items who specialized in the WWII and Vietnam era. When I obtained the pin it was attached to a card. Written along the bottom of the card it reads "Raiders USMC WWII".
Wikipedia has the following information: " On 1 February 1944, the 1st Raider Regiment was redesignated the 4th Marine Regiment", so I would think that statement confirms this pin to be from the WWII time frame.
The pin measures 1 inch high by 3/4 inch across at the widest points. It is enamel. There are no markings on the back. The back has a single clutch holder.
You will receive the actual pin that you see in my photo. It is in very good condition.
Although small, when wrapped it will exceed the postal limit of one quarter of an inch for normal envelope mailing. Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Package. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $3.25.
