This thimble is marked inside 'Alpaca Mexico'. It stands 7/8ths of an inch tall and is three quarters of an inch across the bottom. It is silver in color and in my opinion it is Mexican Silver. It's not marked as sterling or any other content, but I've never seen anything silver from Alpaca Mexico that was not actual silver. Besides, there are a couple others listed online that are unmarked but the seller is stating them to be sterling.
The thimble features a 5 petal flower that is Mother of Pearl. The flower is set into crushed turquoise. This would have been hand crafted.
Unknown exact date. It is from a large lot of decorative thimbles purchased at an estate sale. The shoebox they were in had a sign that stated the collection to be from the 1970s. It is pre-owned, but it's in excellent condition. There is one small flaw and that is on the top. The top has a hammered look and there is an area about 1/8th of an inch that is smoother than the rest of the top. You may be able to see this area in my second photo.
