This bolo tie features a bear’s paw centerpiece. The centerpiece measures 1.25 inches tall and has a 1/2 inch turquoise stone. The black leather cord measures 36 inches and has silver metal end caps. The slide on the back is hard to move, probably due to lack of use. It works, but is a little stiff.
I purchased it at an estate sale along with about a dozen other bolos that I will be listing. The tag that was attached said “925 Sterling, Turquoise stone”. The piece is unmarked so I did a ‘magnet’ test and the magnet did not stick to the centerpiece, so I took it to my jewelers to ask their opinion. They could not find a marking either, but confirmed that it is 925 silver. They said that in their opinion, it looks Navajo and probably from the 1970s.

SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their “Delivering for America” plan in which they hope to become profitable. It’s a 10 year plan that started in 2021, so we’ve got years to go with multiple price increases each year. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the changes when possible
