This is the 1947 Hawsepipe Yearbook for The California Maritime Academy in Vallejo California.

CLOSE-OUT
The items in my 'close out" are there mainly due to the shipping costs. With the shipping costs increasing three times per year, people are not willing to spend that kind of money for shipping, and I don't blame them one bit. By knocking the asking price down to as low as possible, hopefully these items will find one last forever home.
It is a hardbound book that measures about 8 by 11 inches and has a padded cover. It has 125 pages and is very well illustrated.
The training ship for the class of 1947 was the Golden Bear.

CONDITION:
There are slight bumps to the corners, but no tears to the spine. There is no writing inside and there are no torn pages. For being close to 80 years old, I'd say it's in very good condition.
SHIPPING:
The postal service recently changed the rules on mailing "yearbooks" and no longer allow them to be mailed via Media Mail. Shipping will be via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope. Buyer to pay $10.95 delivery charges.
A personal note about shipping costs….
The shipping charges are set by the U.S. Postal Service.
Here’s the reason for the high charges….. Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become more profitable.
On top of the three increases, the postal service has now divided the nation in to 8 postal zones. Each time a package crosses into another zone, the price increases. I am in Arizona, so most all of my shipments pass through multiple zones.
It's a 10 year plan that the postal service started in 2021, so we've got years to go with multiple price increases of shipping charges each year. I fear seeing what the costs will be at the end of the plan.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box or envelope. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
