Originally named Clipper Key and Lock Co. in 1932,it merged with William Curtis in 1934 and became Curtis Industries. This knife would be from the timeframe of 1943 to the early 1960s. The proof of that is the printing on one side of the knife that says “Cleveland 17, Ohio”. The number 17 in that address represents the postal zone number. The two digit zone numbers were used from 1943 to the early 1960s.

The knife, with the blade open measures 4.5 inches. The handles on both sides a pearl colored and I believe Mother of Pearl (but not positive of that). It has one regular knife blade and a key blade.

The advertising on the side is faded and I can’t make out all of what it says. What I do see is “Curtis Industries Inc., Cleveland 17 Ohio” There are other words, but I can’t determine what they say.

The blade has a sharp clap when closing and is in good condition with no chips. The pearlized handles also have no chips or cracks.

Buyer to pay USPS First Class pkg shipping charges of $5.50. Delivery is from Arizona.

SPECIAL NOTE about SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly and again in November for the holiday season (so 3 times each year) the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based on weight and zip code. Now, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. This year's increases have added an additional 1.36 cents to up to $4.03 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the changes when possible.

I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box or envelope. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.

INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES: Sorry, I do not ship to locations outside of the United States.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
