These plush penguins became the 'have to have one" item after being featured by Joey on the TV show Friends. The penguins were an overnight sensation. In the late 1990s, the 'Mervyn's of California" department store chain contracted exclusively with Debbie Mumm (who originally created the penguins) to have sole rights at selling them.
Here are two of the penguins. There is the 6 inch 'McFinn" penguin wearing earmuffs and a scarf. And there is the 5 inch 'Hugsy" wearing a winter scarf and winter cap with pompom. Both have their cloth tags still attached.
Both penguins, and especially Hugsy, are rare and very collectible.
There are no tears, stains, or discoloration. They are in great condition.
