This Etienne Aigner clutch purse came from my mother in laws estate. The daughters are all in agreement that it would be from the late 1970s, however, it looks to have been never used. It's in excellent condition.
It is black in color, has hinged sides, and has a snap shut closure. The hardware is gold in color. The outside is what I would call 'snake embossed'. It also has a short chain handle that has a 5 inch drop. This chain handle has connectors that makes it possible to tuck the chain inside and be out of sight.
The inside has the Etienne Aigner logo and also states it to be "Genuine Leather". The inside has one main compartment and one open side pocket.
It measures 9 inches side to side, 5 inches tall, and opens to about 3.5 inches.
