I recently purchased a collection of old photographs and newspaper articles that appear to be mostly from the Chanute Kansas area but there are notations of other locations also.
The names Montague (mostly), Blair, Smith, Beaty, Jones, and others are written on the backs of many photos. There's one small stack of photos banded together and whomever had them before wrote "1850 - 1930" on a piece of paper. I don't know which photos in this stack those dates would be for, but I left them wrapped together anyway. Some of the names in that stack are "Ethyl, Mr. Knudson, Bessie Waller" and locations of "Chanute, Sante Fe, Westy H.S., Barker Corner 1922".
Of the larger cabinet photos, the notations on the back of some of them are "Morris Montague, Age 19 - 21" (horse and cart photo). Others are from a studio in Winfield Kansas and say "Katie Montague" "Katie's School Picture", "Uncle Morris Montague", "Laura McCune Best", "Pansy and Katie".
There are several pictures of a flood and several of vacations. One flood picture says "river 25ft above normal, Mar 26, 1922".
There are also newspaper articles dated from the 1920s to the 1940s. These are mostly death notices, marriage notices, people going off to war, etc. These are mostly from the Chanute and Neosho County area.
Once I had gathered the information posted above, I wrapped the items and packed them to be ready to mail. Unfortunately, I forgot to count how many pictures and how many newspaper articles there were. Going by memory, I'd guess theres probably close to 50 or more photos, and another 50 or so newspaper articles. You should be able to see from my photos that there is a large amount of items. (I've included many more photos at the bottom of this description).
Delivery will be via USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate envelope from Nevada. Buyer to pay delivery charges of $8.95.

I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
