Memorial Iwo Jima Flag Raising Statue circa 1960 U.S. Marine 24.00
At the estate sale where I purchased this statue, the seller stated it was a souvenir from a trip to Washington DC in 1960.
The base of the statue measures 3.75 by 2.25 inches. The height, to the top of the flag is 4 inches. It is made of metal construction and I believe it to be bronze. At the front, imprinted on the plate, it says ‘Iwo Jima’. On the front of the base it says ‘Washington D.C.’. The bottom has a felt cover and a sticker that says ‘Made in Japan’.
The flag portion is removable and I will remove it before shipping just so it doesn’t snap off. Upon arrival, just place it back in the holder.
Condition: There are no major dents or scratches. It has a vintage patina that I will leave. You can polish it if you like, but personally I believe that doing so would take away from the vintage appearance.

Previously, shipping charges were based on weight and zip code. Now, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. This year's increases have added an additional 1.36 cents to up to $4.03 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges and haven't increased my shipping charges in three years. This year, unfortunately, I have to increase the shipping. I'll try to keep it reasonable and even absorb some of the changes when possible.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
