I believe, but am not sure, that this Nicholas Gish pewter thimble depicts a hat with a fir brim. I have researched it for hours trying to determine if that is actually what it is, but there are no others listed anywhere on the internet to help with the determination. The thimble stands a little over one inch tall. It is signed Nicholas Gish on one side. Unknown age as I purchased it at an estate sale with several other Gish thimbles.
