I purchased two great old puppets recently at an estate sale. Some call them puppets, some call them marionettes. This one depicts a Mexican Bandit wearing a sombrero and holding a pistol, the other one depicts an older Mexican man and will be offered in another listing. I don't know the age. The seller that I purchased it from said she thought her mom bought them in Mexico in the 1950s, but that was a guess on her part.
This puppet stands about 14 inches tall. With the strings factored in, from the top of the wood manipulator to the bottom of the puppets feet is about 28 inches.
He is handmade with his face being hand painted. He has a plaster head, plastic hands, and wood feet.
There are no cracks or breakage. His scarf has a small amount of fraying. One side of his face has some black spots and Im not sure if they are supposed to be beard stubble. You can see them in my last photo. The strings are not tangled, at least not at this moment. Hopefully they'll stay straightened during shipping.

All items in my listings come from either garage or estate sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
