This thimble honors Mr. Peanut, the mascot of Planter’s Peanuts. It is made of pewter and stands 1.75 inches tall. I purchased a large collection of vintage thimbles recently at an estate sale and although I don’t know a date for this piece, the seller said her mother collected them for many many years. If I had to guess, I’d say it’s probably from the 1970s or 1980s.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT SHIPPING CHARGES: Twice yearly, and again in November for the holiday season (so three times per year) the postal service increases the shipping charges. This is what they call their "Delivering For America" plan in which they hope to become profitable.
