I purchased several of these handmade clay flute whistles from an estate sale recently. I was told they were originally purchased in Peru during the early 1970s as souvenirs.
I'm calling this one 'flat" because the others are fish and toucan shaped. This listing is for the 'flat" flute whistle only.
The coloring is various shades of brown. At the widest points it measures about 2.75 inches side to side, 3.25 inches top to bottom. On the back there is an area to put a chain or cord so that it can be worn around your neck. Also on the back, to me it looks like a face, so you could paint eyebrows and other highlights on if desired.
I blew into the whistle, and it did produce noise on different levels depending on which holes I placed my fingers on.
