This is the kind of brochure you get when you call an organization and tell them you're interested in their program and ask that they send you information.
There is no date that I could find, but I also have 4 Maritime Academy Hawsepipe yearbooks dated 1944, 1945, 1946, and 1947 and this brochure has the same superintendent, administrators, buildings, and letter from Governor Earl Warren that those books have. Going by that, this brochure would be from the 1940s.
When receiving this brochure, a young man would be able to see what the curriculum was, he'd see the study courses, the ship, the activities, the living quarters and anything else having to do with the 'tour of duty'.
The brochure measures about 8 by 10.5 inches. All pages are secured to the binding. The cover is a cardboard type of material. The pages are not numbered but I'd guess there's about 30 to 40 pages.
The condition is good, but there is some 'browning" due to age. I see one scrape on the cover and it's on the bottom right corner.
