The items in this listing are for passage on Pensylvania Railroad's South Wind Train. They were for a person named Mary Greve. The trip was from Indianapolis Indiana to Jacksonville Florida and the agent stamps are from July 1943. The particulars on each item are detailed below.
In this listing I have one Pennsylvania Railroad ticket envelope and inside are two paper items. One states that it is for "Coach Reservation Identification" on "The South Wind" train, and the other paper item is a receipt of some type.
In the order that you see the items in my picture, At the top is the envelope. On the inside of the flap it states the fare was $41.40 plus federal tax of $4.14, for a total cost of $45.54. It states the train will leave at 11:23am on 7/4. It was car SW3, seat 22.
In the center of my photo is a receipt. It says "received of Mary Greve for redemption, tickets as described in form bearing same number". It has an agent stamp dated July 20, 1943 but the location is very faint and I believe I see IND, which probably stands for Indianapolis Indiana.
In the bottom of my photo is the "Coach Reservation Identification". It was for seat 22, car SW3, with a depart time of 11:23am from Indianapolis Indiana to Jacksonville Florida. It is ticket number 2910. It has been stamped by the agent on the date of July 4, 1943.
