First off, a statement about why I used the date of 1930s-1950s in my title:
On the Martinelli's webpage about the history of the company, this statement is found "Martinelli's unique Golden Apple jug was introduced in 1933, along with the slogan, "Drink Your Apple A Day". So, that tells me that this could be from as early as the 1930s, and I used the ending date of 1950s because the bottom has the location of Watsonville CAL. In the mid 1950s the abbreviations for states started changing from 3 letters to the 2 letter designation we use today. When that change took place the location would have been listed as Watsonville CA.

It is glass and stands 8.25 inches tall. There is a handle but there is no lid. The upper portion has leaves. On the side at the bottom in raised lettering it says "Half Gal. Drink Your Apple A Day, Martinelli's Gold Medal Cider". On the very bottom it says "S. Martinelli & Co. Patented, Watsonville Cal."

I obtained two of these jugs at an estate sale. (This listing is for one jug). When I found them, they were in an old decaying out building. They were covered in dirt, mud, and gunk to the point that I really had no idea what they were. I brought them home and soaked them off and on for about a week, then used a toothbrush, bottle brush, and lots of elbow grease and now they are very clean and good to go. All they need is a lid, but personally if I were going to keep them, I'd use them as vases. That would make quite a statement!

Again, this listing is for a quantity of one of the bottles. If both are desired just change the quantity to 2. Keep in mind that the shipping that I am listing is for one jug only. I do combine shipping and I'd be happy to give you a quote for mailing both of them. Just send me your zipcode.

EXPLANATION OF SHIPPING CHARGES:
Google will not include items in their search pages unless a shipping charge is stated or unless calculated shipping is offered. Calculated shipping is very often quoted incorrectly so I choose to post a charge using the east coast as the destination. If you live from the middle of the nation west to California, your charges may be less and if so I will refund a portion of those charges for overpayment. If you feel uncomfortable with that, just send me an email with your zipcode and I'll quote you an exact delivery charge.

The jug is too large to fit in to any of the postal Flat Rate boxes. Delivery will be via USPS regular Priority Mail.

That being said, buyer to pay no more than $9.95 for USPS regular Priority Mail delivery charges, again, possibly less depending on your location.

To avoid duplicate shipping charges, please contact seller for combined shipping charges if multiple purchases are desired.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING depends on the country. Buyer must contact seller for shipping quote before making purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. Unless otherwise noted, all items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
