The Magic Crystal Chess set was manufactured by Tudor Mint for Gorham Pewter and has been out of production for years. This is a single piece of the set and is the piece known as the Enchanted Castle.
The piece is solid pewter and is complete with the "crystal orb ball". The crystal ball is a single Swarovski faceted crystal. It has a protective felt piece on the bottom. It stands 2.75 inches tall. It features a winding staircase leading to the top where the castle is located.
The crystal has an extremely small chip on one side, so small that you'll need a loop or magnifying glass to see it. I thought I should mention it though.
I purchased what I thought was a complete set at an estate sale but once I got it home and started researching it I discovered the set was missing about 6 pieces. So, I figure there's probably people out there that have lost a piece or two of their set, so I'll sell the pieces I have individually and help them build their set back to completion.
Keep in mind that although these were originally chess pieces, there are many people who collect gothic items. One of these statues would make a great gift.
Delivery will be via USPS First Class Mail Parcel. Buyer to pay $4.95 delivery charges. Shipping is from Nevada.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT POSSIBLE PARTIAL REFUND OF SHIPPING CHARGES
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based solely on weight and a package cost the same amount regardless of where it was being shipped to in the United States. This year they went a bit overboard. Now, with this year's increase, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. Now it is not possible to state a shipping cost and have it be valid regardless if the package is traveling 2 miles or all the way to the east coast. This latest increase has added an additional .46 cents to up to $1.43 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
To complicate things even further, Google will not show items for sale unless they have a designated cost, or unless the seller uses calculated shipping. My web host is not equipped to figure calculated shipping, so I have to quote a shipping charge using the east coast as the final destination and then refund over payments. When I return the overage, I usually do so by including cash inside the package when it's shipped. My feedback page will show verification that I do return overpayments.
COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap and on top of that, this year Paypal started charging a currency conversion fee of 4.4%. International shipping now depends on the destination country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
