Lone Star Variations quilt pattern with stencil templates. From Best Loved Quilt Patterns Series by Oxmoor House Inc. 1991.
From the introduction:
Lone Star quilts were probably born about the same time as the United States - 1776. Earliest examples were often called Star of Bethlehem. The pattern became known popularly as Lone Star about the mid 19th century, when the annexation of Texas was a political issue. These quilts can be made by using a template to cut and piece diamonds into star points, or you can use the faster strip piecing method. We've given you both options.
About the series:
This is one of probably a hundred quilt patterns that I will be listing. These patterns were part of a monthly subscription series. Each month, the recipient would receive a pack of 3 different patterns. It took a couple of years to obtain the complete set.
This one is titled Lone Star Variations. It was designated in the Medallions & More category. You will receive the brochure which tells the finished sizes, fabric requirements, the amount of pieces to cut, and instructions for piecing the quilt together. You will also receive an actual template that is the exact size needed to cut all the pieces of material. The template is made of a hard, yet flexible plastic.
This pattern has never been used. If you receive a templates that appears to have been cut out, that's because when first mailed out, templates for 2 or more quilts may have been imprinted on one 8 by 12 inch template sheet. To provide you with just the templates that you'll need for making this quilt, I had to separate them from unrelated templates.
Buyer to pay USPS First Class Mail parcel delivery charges of $2.95. Mailing is from Arizona.
SHIPPING COST INFO:
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Sellers have already been notified that this January the cost of shipping will increase between 6% and 10%. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of over payment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
International shipping charges will also take a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
