Back in the day, your home decor wasn't complete without one of these marbled lighters sitting in the middle of the coffee table. Today, they are very hard to find.
This one stands 6 inches tall and measures 2.5 inches across the bottom. It has beautiful deep brown veins. The 'gas tank" has a rounded thumb press with aged patina, is brass, and is removable and refillable.
When pressing on the thumb striker it feels like there is a flint, but I'm not positive if there is one. There is no lighter fluid. According to U.S. Postal Service rules, ignitable fluid cannot be sent through the mail.
It is marked "Japan". It has felt pads on the bottom to avoid scratching a table.
I purchased it at an estate sale. It had a tag attached that dated it to the 1960s.
