This Varon handbag came from my mother in laws estate. The daughters are all in agreement that it would be from the late 1960s.
The design is diagonal snakeskin patchwork in colors of maroon, silver, and black. It has gold colored brass hardware. The inside is black in color and has the main zippered compartment with one small zippered side pocket and one open side pocket. It measures 12.5 inches side to side by 8 inches tall.
CONDITION:
There are no tears, stains, or flaking of the snake skin. There is one spot in the lower right corner that is a tad bit worn. You can see this in my photo but keep in mind that the photo is enlarged. In normal view, that area is hard to see and is at the bottom and once items are put inside the weight should cause that area to be hidden.
