I believe this bank is silver plate, but quite a bit of the plating is scratch or worn off. I've been fighting with myself as to whether it's even worth listing, but it's just too cute to throw away. I would call it a "project piece". If you're the type to sand things down and repaint them, this little guy could be beautiful again.

It measures about 5.25 inches from the tip of the snout to the tail, about 3.25 inches tall, and 3 inches from the outer tip of the ears. There are pre-drilled holes on the bottom where a screw goes to hold the two pieces together, but the screw is missing. Even without the screw it stays firmly together from a natural tightness. It pulls apart just behind the ears creating two pieces.

As to the age, the only markings I see say "Napier Pat. Pend." and I believe the "Pat Pend" phrase was generally used in the 1950s and 1960s. I not saying this is from that time frame, but going by looks it definitely could be.

SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT POSSIBLE PARTIAL REFUND OF SHIPPING CHARGES
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based solely on weight and a package cost the same amount regardless of where it was being shipped to in the United States. This year they went a bit overboard. Now, with this year's increase, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. Now it is not possible to state a shipping cost and have it be valid regardless if the package is traveling 2 miles or all the way to the east coast. This latest increase has added an additional .46 cents to up to $1.43 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.

To complicate things even further, Google will not show items for sale unless they have a designated cost, or unless the seller uses calculated shipping. My web host is not equipped to figure calculated shipping, so I have to quote a shipping charge using the east coast as the final destination and then refund over payments. When I return the overage, I usually do so by including cash inside the package when it's shipped. My feedback page will show verification that I do return overpayments.

COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.

International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap and on top of that, this year Paypal started charging a currency conversion fee of 4.4%. International shipping now depends on the destination country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.

All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
