This Wells Fargo Tin probably started out as a cookie box, at least that's my best guess.
It measures 10.5 inches side to side, 8 inches top to bottom, and is 3.75 inches deep. The cover is embossed with the Wells Fargo stagecoach, horses, and drivers. The stagecoach appears to be in motion travelling across the prairie. There would be numerous uses for this box.
As to the age, the lady that I obtained it from said she retired from the bank in the mid 1980s, so it's at least that old. She said she always kept it sitting on her office book shelf and everyone would try to talk her out of it. She said she's surprised it never just walked away.
It's been in my possession for at least a year. I'd constantly watch the internet to try to find one for sale so I could determine a fair asking price and in all that time, I've never seen another one.
CONDITION:
-It's in excellent condition! You will see several tiny nics in the paint along the edges, but there's not many and they are so small I can't even give you a measurement on any of them. I'd say they are smaller than a dot that a sharp pencil lead would make.
-I see two very small dents and again, they are too small to measure. I believe you can see them in my last photo (below this description). That photo is showing the inside of the box and if you look at the back wall of the inside you should be able to see them.
-Lastly, when sitting flat on a table (as in my second picture) the box had a slight wobble. I have applied small 1 inch square leveling foam to that corner and the box no longer wobbles. Because of the bottom lip on the box, this foam should not be visible. Obviously, if the box is standing up for display, the wobble will not be an issue.

Calculated shipping is very often quoted incorrectly so I choose to post a charge using the east coast as the destination. If you live in or near California, your charges may be less and if so I will refund a portion of those charges. If you feel uncomfortable with that, just send me an email with your zipcode and I'll quote you an exact delivery charge.
That being said, buyer to pay no more than $7.95 for Insured USPS Priority Mail delivery charges, again, possibly less depending on your location.

I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
Also, every January the postal service increases shipping charges. This year, many price increases were a bit steep with some package categories adding as much as a dollar on to an already high shipping charge. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap. International shipping will now depend on the country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
