Wild Bryde of Northern California has been in business for over 30 years and specializes in nature and animal jewelry. Their creations are highly collectible and well sought after.
This is their North American Mammals Necklace.
Unclasped and lying flat, the necklace measures just a tad under 22 inches from end to end. There are 17 panels. Each panel has a different mammal. The panels start small at the clasp end, measuring 1-1/4 inch by 1/2 inch and gradually grow in size until reaching the bottom centerpiece panel that measures 2 inches by 1-3/4 inches. The bottom centerpiece panel has a red colored bead and has 3 feathers attached. The feathers are not included in the measurement I listed for the centerpiece panel, but the longest center feather is 3/4 inch long.
The process of making the panels is that they are cut from brass, then rhodium plated for a durable silver shine and are laser cut and etched into animal and habitat images. It is made entirely in the USA.
The necklace is signed "Wild Bryde" and "N.A. Mammals" (the N.A. stands for North American). Closure is with a lobster claw clasp.
The mammals featured on the 17 panels are:
Kangaroo Rat, Black Footed Ferret, Gray Squirrel, Prong horn Antelope, Red Fox, Moose, Grizzly Bear, Elk, Gray Wolves, Raccoon, Bison, Bighorn Sheep, Bobcat, White-tailed Deer, Snowshoe Hare, Beaver, and Bat.
The necklace is in wonderful condition but it's lived for years in a small box with other jewelry. It may need to be polished but I personally think its 'good to go'.
Buyer to pay $5.99 for USPS First Class Mail Parcel shipping. The package will be insured. Since the insurance is for the protection of us both, I split that cost with the buyer. Shipping is from Nevada.
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT POSSIBLE PARTIAL REFUND OF SHIPPING CHARGES
Every January the postal service increases shipping charges. Previously, shipping charges were based solely on weight and a package cost the same amount regardless of where it was being shipped to in the United States. This year they went a bit overboard. Now, with this year's increase, the postal service has divided the United States in to 8 zones and all packages are charged by weight, size, and destination zone. Now it is not possible to state a shipping cost and have it be valid regardless if the package is traveling 2 miles or all the way to the east coast. This latest increase has added an additional .46 cents to up to $1.43 on packages. I try to absorb some of the new charges but that's getting harder with each increase.
To complicate things even further, Google will not show items for sale unless they have a designated cost, or unless the seller uses calculated shipping. My web host is not equipped to figure calculated shipping, so I have to quote a shipping charge using the east coast as the final destination and then refund over payments. When I return the overage, I usually do so by including cash inside the package when it's shipped. My feedback page will show verification that I do return overpayments.
COMBINED SHIPPING INFORMATION
I do combine shipping on multiple items purchased as long as all items can fit safely into a single box. However, my web host is not set up to calculate multiple item shipping costs. At checkout, you will be charged full shipping price on each item purchased and I will refund the appropriate amount of overpayment. If you are uncomfortable with that, you can send me an email with your zip code and stating which items you'll be purchasing and I'll calculate the correct combined shipping charges and send you a custom invoice.
International shipping charges also took a tremendous leap and on top of that, this year Paypal started charging a currency conversion fee of 4.4%. International shipping now depends on the destination country. Buyer must contact seller for international shipping charges before making a purchase. Seller reserves the right to void any international transactions where contact has not been made prior to purchasing.
All items in my listings come from either estate or garage sales. I do not know if they came from homes where smoking or pets were present. All items are sold in the same condition as when I received them.
